T-Shirts Design for

Sharsies

Sharsies is an investment platform with users spanning across New Zealand and Australia. They not only opened the door to investment for me but also made the experience fun! Every year, Sharesies invites a local artist to create a t-shirt giveaway for their staff and investors. This year, I had the privilege of designing a T-shirt that features their iconic pineapple.

With the Sharesies t-shirt design, they asked me to include a pineapple, the words ‘Share the aroha’ and some pink, but the rest was up to my interpretation. Using a big paintbrush to create oversized strokes provides an energetic, bold statement, the feeling of freedom and movement.

 

I’ve been following Sharesies’ journey over the years, initially drawn in by the bold design during its startup phase. Eventually, I became a user, intrigued by the opportunity to explore investing. The transparent, fun and open approach contributed to making investing more approachable for me.

Similarly, placing my artwork on a t-shirt achieves a comparable effect for my art. It removes art from the confines of traditional gallery spaces, transforming it into a dynamic, accessible, and interactive element of people’s daily lives.
